Nightdunes

Nightdunes (also known as Kaczorro's City or Old City) is a build created around March 6th, 2025 by a player named kaczorro_. It is made up of several city buildings and other various attractions.

Nightdunes' residents consist of: kaczorro_, yummy, shadow_hunter_s, Lazzy, nothingalike, and possibly more. The only active resident of Nightdunes is kaczorro_.

A few days after the start of the server, a player named kaczorro_ joined in search of a place to build a city. After some looking, a perfect place was found: a desert close to spawn with a few players living nearby. These players were adame5 and Lazzy (nothingalike would join later on).

Soon after the place was found, construction of the first building began. Lazzy, with a base close to the area, provided materials for the building. Due to the help, the skyscraper was finished on the same day construction began. This was kaczorro_'s temporary base since plans for a more proper base were already present.

To build the new base, a lot of materials were needed, so a sand duper would have to be created to speed up the building process. Unfortunately, to create the sand duper, sticky pistons were required and nobody had slimeballs. Thus, the search for a slime chunk began. nothingalike downloaded a map of the world that showed them the locations of nearby slime chunks. A room was created within the slime chunk and with the slimeballs, the sand duper could be created.

The first sand duper was created under the temporary base where they quickly realized sand duping was disabled in the server settings. The city's residences asked keii (the owner of the server) to enable sand duping. The request was successful and the sand duper was functional. Afterwards, the new base, which is now the Nightdunes hotel, was created...

Lore (fictional):

The humble beginnings of Nightdunes (fictional lore).

After the fall original Dwarfalls, one of the 3 legendary founders left his once home and traveled far, far away. Upon stumbling on a floating lake, the journey had stopped. The location was a desert, where no player had yet been. This was the place where Nightdunes would be created. A perfect place to start a new life. With everything left at his old home, he would have to start from nothing.

The first houses were built from sandstone and sand. They were short, small, and cozy inside. In the middle lied a well with a wall surrounding the town. While ancient civilizations around the world were falling, Nightdunes was greatly expanding. People from nearby dwarvaults were traveling to the city and helped expand it.

After the death of the founder, a conflict broke out. Everyone was fighting to become the new leader. Streets were burning and buildings were falling, but that was until a new problem arrived. After the fall of older civilizations, new ones emerged. One of them, much weaker than Nightdunes finally had a chance to become rich by exploiting the terrible situation Nightdunes was undergoing. They launched a huge attack, that made Nightdunes fall quickly. The population was enslaved and taken to the cells where their fates would be decided. In these dark cells, the people were starving.

Everyday, a guard would come and select a few people for labor. But one day, instead of the guard, a dark figure covered in robes came into the cells. Its body was not visible. The figure took off the robes and a white light blinded everyone around. It was impossible to look at the light for a second. Then a voice spoke. "Help will come", it said. The light disappeared and all that was left were the robes on the floor.

The next day, the sounds of a battle were heard outside. The door to the cells suddenly opened. A muscular man covered in blood came to the people and said "I have been sent here by your god. You are now free. Come with me". The group followed the man. They came to the desert where Nightdunes once stood and they rebuilt the city. Everyone returned to their old homes and the mysterious hero was elected their leader, never revealing his true identity. He ruled over Nightdunes until his eventual death. Afterwards, his oldest son continued his legacy as the leader. From there on, Nightdunes became a monarchy and peacefully expanded into what it is today.
